Erin Davis

Mourning Has Broken

“In just over two years, Erin Davis has transitioned from being one of Canada’s best-loved media personalities to becoming a best-selling author. Upon announcing her retirement from a wonderfully rewarding career as morning host on Toronto radio station 98.1 CHFI (and just prior to moving to her new home on Vancouver Island), Erin was approached by HarperCollins to share her story. Her memoir, Mourning Has Broken: Love, Loss and Reclaiming Joy, is one of Canada’s top selling works of non-fiction for 2019, spending many weeks in the Top 10. It chronicles the journey of Erin and her husband Rob (both Rotarians) following the unexpected and unexplained death of their only child, Lauren, who failed to awaken to her seven-month-old son’s cries just hours after celebrating her first and only Mother’s Day in 2015. Mourning Has Broken offers insight into the journey through grief and how a person can come out the other side stronger, wiser and more compassionate. If you have lost a loved one, or know someone who has, Erin’s message will resonate.”
