Annu Gaidhu, M.A., E-RYT, is an internationally recognized yoga teacher with an unquenchable enthusiasm for life, love, and healing. Her passion for teaching both the art and the science of yoga is fueled in part by her own personal struggle with anxiety at the age of 16. Her calling to share this ancient practice with others has been clear to her since and now is known best for her unique authentic expression and compassion-centered teachings.
Annu earned her B.A in Child and Youth Care and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at Ryerson University. Utilizing her platform as Miss India Canada, combined with her commitment to child welfare and yoga; she established a non-¬profit organization, called the “Healing Hearts Project”. Her current fundraising model provides donation¬ based yoga classes wherein all proceeds raised support development projects related to food, shelter and recreation for a monastery with 90 orphaned Tibetan refugee children in India. She hopes to create a sustainable model of philanthropy that heals both the benefactors of the global yoga community and for children who could easily be invisible to the world.
Annu is dedicated to inspiring others in becoming conscious leaders of change utilizing yoga and mindfulness techniques as tools for self-inquiry and personal transformation.
